Big Papa came down today and the boys went fishing at Raccoon River Park. Steve has been so excited to take Jaxson fishing, so today was the big day. They caught three fish and Jaxson was so excited. I guess he even gave one a kiss. When he got home he was so excited to tell me all about his adventures. He was talking a mile a minute; it was so fun to hear him so excited and to hear about how much fun he had.

Brady got to come spend the day with Jaxson and me again. We always enjoy having him because he is such a good baby. Now today he wasn’t as good as he usually is, but he does have a good excuse. He’s got his two bottom teeth poking through and bothering him, but we still had fun. It’s funny to look at these pictures of the boys right next to each other because they don’t even look like they are related. Jaxson obviously has the Cathcart skin tone (thank the Lord) and Brady’s got his mom’s skin tone. Jaxson’s got the darker hair and dark brown eyes and Brady with his blonde hair and blue eyes. Could these boys be any different?? Oh well, we love them all the same.

We are so glad that Mindy had a meeting at work today because that meant that Brady got to come hang out with us for a few hours. He was such a good baby. Jaxson loved having him here. He thought he was pretty cool stuff helping me change Brady’s diaper. He also showed off at naptime when he showed Brady how he gets his diaper changed, how we read a book, and he also had me help Brady fold his hands so that he could pray with us. I don’t know how many times I heard, "Baady watch." Jaxson will make an excellent big brother some day.

Brandy, Jack, Jaxson and I all headed to Backyard Adventures this morning to let the boys run around and play and hopefully wear themselves out. I’m glad to say that it worked.
The tire swing is always a big hit.

Jaxson’s buddy, Jack, and his mommy, Brandy, came over today to play. The boys had a great time playing and Brandy and I always have a good time chatting because she too is a stay-at-home mom and we crave adult conversation most days. We ordered pizza for supper and enjoyed watching the boys, including Brad, scarf down a few pieces. Then we headed outside to play. I think the adults had more fun outside than the babies did. They were so cute because they would push each other in Jaxson’s Tonka truck. It was one of the cutest things I have ever seen.

Since I got the minivan, Brad got a truck. . . it’s only fair, right? He got a black Chevy Colorado that is big enough to fit the whole fam. He’s pretty excited about it. He even let me take it out for a drive tonight. I like it and I’m excited about getting rid of the 2 door vehicles.
