Brad got some free tickets to the Iowa Chops hockey game for Friday night. He couldn’t find anyone to go with him, so we decided to take Jaxson with us and we figured that if he didn’t like it, we would just leave and we wouldn’t be out anything. Well who knew that he would sit there for three hours and watch the hockey game. It was the first hockey game for Jaxson and me and I think it’s safe to say that we both enjoyed it very much. They keep the crowd very entertained throughout the whole game. See, that shows you how much I know about hockey. . . is it a game? a match? or what? There were several fights throughout the game and I was worried what Jaxson might learn from that, so I used it as a learning opportunity. I explained to him that when they fight, the players have to go sit in timeout just like he does. He seemed to understand the concept. I suppose it’s good that he hasn’t tried to put us in a head lock or run us into the wall. They also had fire shooting out of the scoreboard, they showed clips of funny fight scenes in movies, including Jaxson’s favorite, the Wizard of Oz, and of course they had dancing girls. These dancing girls in skimpy outfits reminded me again if that I ever have a daughter, she will never be a cheerleader. The outfits and the way that they dance these days is so inappropriate. I told Brad on the way home that it was like strip club dancing, only the clothes stayed on. It was not appropriate. I would understand a little more if the majority of the crowd was men, but it wasn’t, it was mostly children with their families. I’ll get off of my soap box now and just say that the hockey game was fun and I would go again, but the dancing girls could go.

You forgot the pictures of the girls.I need to see them to make the final judgment.Sad thing is that is our society now a days.I’m with you our kids do not need to see that stuff.

as the 3-yr-old daughter of a friend of mine would say, “amen sister!” what is with the skimpy clothes that girls are wearing younger and YOUNGer these days? they are all over the target kids’s racks!
