The Cathcarts

Jaxson had his 4 month check up today and all went well. . . except for the nasty shots.  Jaxson weighed in at 15 lbs and 4.5 oz and was 25 inches long. That puts him in the 50th percentile on everything.  Once again the Dr. was very impressed on his strength and even asked Jaxson if he was sure that he wasn’t 7 months old.  We got the go ahead to start cereal, so we’ll try that tonight if he’s up to it and let you know how that goes.  I also learned today that babies don’t drool because they are teething, they drool because #1 they don’t know to swallow their saliva and #2 it means they need more carbohydrates. He got 3 shots again and he only cried when he got the stick, then he was back to smiling and playing with Daddy. But then we got home and he woke up from a very short nap and he was in some pain and desperately needing more sleep, so Brad and I took him for a little drive in the van.  After 1 mile he was out, so we went and washed the van and got some supper and came back home.
